Sports Program

The sports program will be determined in compliance with the Host City Contract (PDF File).

The sports included in the Paris Olympics in 2024 will be performed.
The sports to be performed will be determined to take into account their popularity in the five zones under the jurisdiction of the OCA: Central Asia, East Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and West Asia.
Up to two sports will be performed based on proposals made by the AINAGOC at its sole discretion.
Up to two sports will be performed based on proposals made by the OCA through the discussion with the OCA.

Total from the items 1 to 4 above mentioned: Approximately 40 sports

Arrangements for Competition Venues

Competition: Based on the Host City Contract, 35 competition venues were tentatively decided in October 2019 for the 28 Olympic competitions (1.Aquatics to 28.Wrestling).
Due to competitions newly added to the Paris Olympic Games (29.Breaking and 32.Surfing) by decision on December 2020, altogether with the addition of both aforementioned competitions, 10 venues among the 28 competitions, for which venues were undergoing adjustments, were tentatively decided in March 2021.

Modalities: Assuming the modalities held at the Paris Olympics.

Note: Tentative decisions on competition venues are subject to change due to further coordination with the OCA, AF, and other parties, development of new facilities, or other factors.
