Athletes' Village

Overview

We will set up Athletes' Villages that can accommodate about 15,000 athletes and Games stakeholders. We will provide a living environment where people can stay safely, comfortably, and with peace of mind, in locations only a short distance away from the intended main venue, the Mizuho Athletics Stadium, and other major competition venues.

Preparing the Athletes' Village

The former site of Nagoya Racecourse is planned to be set up as the main Athletes' Village. Reusable facilities will be temporarily used as facilities for the Athletes' Village during the Games, and temporary facilities will be set up for any other facilities that cannot be repurposed.
For competition venues that are far from the main Athletes' Village, there are plans to use hotels and public facilities (such as training institutes) for branch Athletes' Villages.

Aichi Prefecture and Nagoya City will also jointly think of plans to reuse the Athletes' Village after the Games.
