Award ceremony for “Student Idea and Project Contest” was held!

On Sunday, February 18, 2024, an award ceremony for the “Student Idea and Project Contest” was held at Seimei Hall, Chukyo University Nagoya Campus.
The competition was organized by the Expert Committee for the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 (hereinafter referred to as the “Expert Committee”), which was established under the Aichi Association of University Presidents. It invited students from 52 member universities of the Association to submit ideas and projects that they would like to try through the Games, including the promotion of the Games. A total of 17 entries were received, and the following five ideas/projects were selected as winners.
At the award ceremony, Mr. Kiyohide Umemura, President of Chukyo University and the Chairman of the Expert Committee, presented the winners with a certificate of commendation. Students shared their thoughts, proposal ideas, and plans for the Games, such as “I hope that many students will become interested in the Games and that we can work across university, faculty, and department boundaries,” “My proposal will hopefully help spread awareness of para-sports and make the Games even more exciting,” and “I hope that university students will take the initiative to implement the SDGs in sports and make them part of the legacy of the Games.”

Mr. Sota Yuki from Chukyo University, “Turning Plastic Waste into T-shirts for Volunteers”
Mr. Subaru Ito and Mr. Tomoki Nishikawa from Chukyo University, “Stamp Rally”

Ms. Airi Ito from Chubu University, “Student Japanese Musical Instrument Orchestra”
Their proposals will be under consideration for implementation.
