Call for Games' Emblem Design Now Open (November 20th (Wednesday) Noon Deadline)

From noon today, October 19 (Sat.), submissions will open for emblem designs for the 20th Asian Games (2026, Aichi-Nagoya).
We look forward to receiving everyone's creative emblem designs.
1. Submission Outline
(1) Submission Period
Noon on October 19 (Sun.) to noon on November 20 (Wed.)
(2) Submission Qualifications, Etc.
Age: All ages (However, persons who are below 18 years of age as of April 1, 2019 require the consent of a parent/guardian.)
Nationality: Must be Japanese or reside in Japan (persons who have a juminhyo (resident register) in Japan) Group entries: Allowed (The representative must fulfill the above qualifications.)
Experience / Awards won: Not required
Number of submissions accepted: 3 per person/group

You can submit designs through the Submission Form on the website. (Only submissions through the website are accepted. Even if they are in digital form, submissions cannot be accepted if they are sent by any other means, including mail or direct delivery.)

500,000 japanease yen(tax included)

Please provide the following information on the Submission Form on the Emblem Design Submission website.
- Emblem design proposal: As a jpeg or pdf file
- Design concept: In 200 characters or less
- Submitter's information: Name, address, date of birth, phone number, e-mail address (Except for phone number and e-mail address, write the information of everyone in the group)

(7) Creation Requirements
- The emblem must include: 1. a logo (original design), 2. the Games' name (20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026), and 3. the OCA symbol (a sun).
- The emblem design proposal should be based around the concepts for the 20th Asian Games (2026, Aichi-Nagoya) and the Games' slogan.

[Objectives]
The organizers claim that sports has a power to bring people together beyond the barriers of language, culture and nationality.
They hope that Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games will be the opportunity for every people in Asia to be able to imagine their own ‘ONE ASIA’ with the power of sports so that the ties among the people in Asia will be strengthen and they can forward to the bright future.

2. Selection Procedure
(1) Establishment of the Selection Committee
We will set up a 20th Asian Games Emblem Selection Committee of around 5 experts (Chair: Masaaki Hiromura), and have them make holistic selections based on their expertise and diverse viewpoints. The Selection Committee is expected to meet several times during the fiscal year.
(2) Gathering Opinions
The submitted emblem design proposals will be narrowed down to around five by the Emblem Selection Committee. They will then be announced to the public and opinions will be gathered. These opinions will be referred to during the final selection.
(3) Final Decision
Taking into account the gathered opinions, the Emblem Selection Committee will narrow down the candidates to one in a final selection. The final decision on which design will be adopted will be made at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games Organizing Committee Executive Board meeting in March 2020.
